Zenshin dojo Karate Club
In Shin-do Shotokai we
aim to maintain the highest standards of conduct within our
instructor group in line with our core values of:
 |
Honesty |
 |
Integrity
|
 |
Openness |
 |
Honour |
 |
Humility |
 |
Understanding
|
As a group practising a martial art
it is fundamental that discipline is maintained at all times and
examples of unacceptable behaviour would include:
 |
Use of abusive or threatening
behaviour or communication to others |
 |
Any act of physical violence or
assault out with the dojo |
|
 |
The following guidelines give
examples of the standards of behaviour that we expect in our
organisation:
 |
Treat everyone with respect
|
 |
Be noble in defeat
|
 |
Be considerate of others
|
 |
Be in control of state at all
times |
If any member believes that the code
of conduct has been violated by any other member then there should
be a complaint in writing to the executive. If any member is
concerned about any violation of the code by any member of the
executive then they should write to the secretary. Please note that
all complaints will be dealt with in confidence with both parties
having the right to present evidence.
Any such complaints will be dealt
with by a panel of three members of the executive whose decision
shall be final and may result in the following:
-
No action
-
Formal written apology required
-
Period of suspension
-
Termination of membership
All decisions will be communicated in
writing to both parties and failure to comply with the decision will
result in termination of membership or further disciplinary action.
